Netflix Location Issue

Hello Sir/Mam, If you're having problems with Netflix Location Issue. This message is for you.

As per details we see Netflix has made changes on their side and it made their account to work on country specific for example ‘ that if you have buyed netflix from India it will work only in India ’. As you know we cannot pay for Netflix subscription by ourselves from Nepal as it dose not accept local payment method and you were reaching us out for Netflix subscription. We used to buy Netflix from foreign country and provided you with a subscription on your behalf.

We use to make payment to Netflix on behalf of you and Netflix is saying that “ Netflix noticed that this account was created in a different country than the country where it's being used. Due to the country of sign up and the payment method used, we can’t allow streaming from your location with this account. ” So we cannot use this account in Nepal until it is paid locally, but as you know we cannot pay to Netflix locally thus you were buying from us and we bought from foreign countries and provided you accounts. We are trying to find solution and continuously talking to netflix but they are not helping anymore.

We are trying to find solution for this until now we know that this account can be used by using VPN by connecting to Origin country were it was paid. Its a expensive solution because VPN are expensive then Netflix itself. We also found out that we can watch Netflix via connecting USA servers. We also get to know that some accounts are still working fine till date.

You yourself can talk to Netflix Customer Care for validation and ask them about this issue. By seeing lots of complaints Netflix may consider this issue and resolve it. Follow below steps :-

FAQ :

Is Netflix available in Nepal?
No, Netflix is not officially present in Nepal, but it has a content library for Nepal. We are able to watch it through friends' accounts who were in foreign countries and through third party sellers who bought it from foreign countries like us. Now it's country specific.

Am I only facing this location issue?
No, everyone in Nepal who all are using Netflix are facing this problem. Except for some accounts. It's random, some accounts are still working fine. We reached out to other Netflix sellers of Nepal as well and all of them are facing the same.

Do we have a solution for this?
Until now we know that it can be used by using Premium VPN by connecting to countries like the USA servers but it is more expensive than Netflix itself. We are looking for an easy solution and will update you if we get any.

Do I get a refund?
As all of the Netflix accounts that are working in Nepal are paid via Netflix Gift Card and it was prepaid. So it's non refundable and thus we too cannot provide a refund. Because we too bought a Netflix subscription on behalf of you and paid the full amount to netflix already and there are 100’s of accounts, so we will not be able to provide a refund to everyone but we will try as much as possible to give you a solution for this.

Is it temporary or permanent?
It looks like it's permanent and Netflix will not allow you to use other countries' accounts in Nepal. However some of the accounts are still working fine, we are collecting more details on this. Hope for the best and may netflix consider this issue and allow us again to watch.

How do we use to pay for Netflix?
We used to buy a Netflix Gift Card from foreign countries where it is cheaper compared to other countries which are prepaid and used to redeem it to a netflix account. Thus it's non-refundable and if we cancel the plan it will end only after the gift card balance is all used.

As we talked to some Netflix sellers in Nepal, all of them are facing the same issue. We talked to our suppliers as well. They are having the same problems too. We don’t think Netflix will allow Nepali users to use their services anymore due to geo restriction. There are still some accounts that have had no issue until now, we talked to Netflix and they had to say “ Netflix has an automated security system which check’s IP of the user and decide that account origin and user watching on particular location matches or not, Sooner or later all accounts will have to go through it. “

Netflix has officially changed their subscription to country specific in which, Accounts where it was paid will work there only in that case you may or may not be able to watch Netflix in Nepal because Netflix is not officially present in nepal.
